Concrete Division Manager
Position Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on, results-driven leader to oversee and grow our Concrete Division. Reporting directly to the COO, this role combines operational leadership with the development of financial accountability across the division.
You’ll lead two superintendents and their field teams, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on every project, while also helping establish the processes, budgets, and controls that will guide long-term division success. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical business line in its growth phase and shape how Moss delivers concrete work across North Texas.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor two superintendents, setting clear expectations for safety, productivity, and quality.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, scheduling, and resource planning to ensure projects stay on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with estimating to review takeoffs, labor, materials, and change orders, providing input on pricing and constructability.
- Partner with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors to identify conflicts early and resolve them efficiently.
- Monitor division budgets and job cost reports, approve invoices, and safeguard profitability across all projects.
- Manage form systems, concrete mix designs, equipment utilization, and material inventory.
- Enforce a strong safety culture through daily engagement, jobsite audits, and personal accountability.
- Participate in long-term planning for division growth including equipment strategy and process improvements.
- Experience leading concrete or underground utility operations, including oversight of multiple crews or superintendents.
- Strong estimating knowledge in concrete and storm structure work from takeoff through bid.
- Experience managing budgets, cost tracking, and profitability at the project or division level.
- Proven ability to lead teams with clarity, consistency, and respect.
- Deep understanding of utility plans, civil drawings, and permitting processes.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred with a strong record of enforcing jobsite safety.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management or estimating software.
